After purchasing his first AR-15, Devin French, our founder and owner, quickly developed a deep passion for the firearms industry. While exploring customization options for his rifle, he was struck by the excessive turnaround times and steep prices that often left the average consumer frustrated and underserved. Determined to change this, Devin set out with a mission to deliver exceptional quality craftsmanship at a reasonable price, with fast and reliable turnaround times.

This drive led us to start manufacturing our own lowers in-house, and soon, we were offering custom work for other local dealers, establishing ourselves as a trusted name in the community. Recognizing a gap in the market for high-quality firearms at more accessible price points, we introduced our signature Reaper series – the Reaper 9, Reaper 15, and Reaper 10 AR platforms. These models have since become a cornerstone of our business, providing shooters with unparalleled performance and reliability at an affordable cost.

All FYN rifles and pistols come with a lifetime warranty for any parts and workmanship. Devin is a dedicated marksman and passionate teacher who turned a lifelong love of firearms into a mission: educate responsible shooters and build high-quality, precision weapon systems that won’t break the bank. With six years as an Army Infantryman and more than a decade of hands-on experience, he brings practical, field-proven knowledge to every lesson and product he develops. Devin excels at breaking down complex shooting fundamentals into clear, usable instructions for both new and experienced shooters, prioritizing safety, consistency, and confidence behind the trigger. On the design side, he applies disciplined engineering and real-world testing to deliver reliable, accurate firearms and components that balance performance with affordability—so the average gun owner can access precision without compromise.

Devin’s Father, Kevin French, is the Director of Information for FYN Armament, bringing years of industry expertise in communications, product education, and information strategy. He oversees technical documentation, customer resources, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that ensure FYN’s products are clearly understood and responsibly used. Known for translating complex technical details into practical guidance, Kevin partners with engineers, trainers, and customer service to deliver accurate, accessible information. A strong advocate for safety, transparency, and continuous learning, he helps shape FYN’s public-facing content, training materials, and internal knowledge systems to support both professionals and enthusiasts.

Following his honorable discharge, Devin transitioned into the field of process improvement and manufacturing efficiency, specializing in Lean Manufacturing and process development. Leveraging his expertise, he founded FYN Armament, combining his military background and technical proficiency to create high-quality rifles and pistols. His commitment to precision, innovation, and customer experience has positioned FYN Armament as a leader in firearm customization and manufacturing.
